This is a great book. It’s one of those books that has real gem of information every 3-4 pages without fail. Unfortunately, it took me 3 months to read because it became my ultimate commute book. Now a commute book has special properties:
- It should be easy to get back into the book within 30 seconds of opening it.
- You learn something everytime you pick up the book.
- You only have time to read x pages every commute (in my case 3-4 pages). London commuting really sucks…
Lean Software Development, An Agile Toolkit by Mary and Tom Poppendieck was the ideal commute book. It’s well written, has a wealth of experience communicated through poignant war stories and well thought out prose. The authors clearly know their subject matter and have put into practice a lot of what they write about. A must read for anyone interested in agile software development.
